Useful biscuit facts!

Whole wheat flour packs a lot of good nutrients for your pup - fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. In some cases, dogs may have an allergy or sensitivity to whole wheat flour, so always check with your vet before purchasing any Scruffy Pups treats!

100% pure peanut butter is used in all Scruffy Pup treats. Peanut Butter can sometimes have an added ingredient called xylitol, which is toxic to dogs and even eating small amounts can be fatal. Xylitol is used as an artificial sweetener in foods to keep the product sugar-free. 100% pure peanut butter is loved by many dogs - the tastiest way to have a treat.

Oats are a great addition to your pup's diet. Oats are rich in soluble fiber, vitamins, and minerals such as iron, zinc, and B vitamins that help support your pup's coat and skin. The high fiber content helps promote digestion and weight management.

Honey is safe for pups in small quantities. Scruffy Pup uses only a tablespoon in each batch of cookies as a sweetener. Too much honey can cause health complications such as dental issues, obesity and diabetes with the high sugar content in honey. Honey is also a natural preservative for food, which helps keep the biscuits lasting about a week!

Eggs are perfect for tasty treats, a hearty breakfast or a meal additive, no matter how they're cooked. If your pet has pre-existing health conditions like acute pancreatitis or diabetes, try to avoid eggs in their diet. Cooking eggs is the best way for your pup's diet.

Applesauce should only be used as a small treat for your dog, using no more than a spoonful a day. In a full batch of Applesauce Cookies, Scruffy Pup uses one cup of applesauce before the batch has been cut and baked, leaving each cookie with about a spoonful of applesauce contained.

Bananas are a fantastic low-calorie treat for dogs. Feed in moderation as they're high in potassium, vitamins, biotin, fiber, and copper.

Pumpkin is naturally rich in fiber, as well as vitamins A, C, and E and minerals like potassium and iron. Prepared correctly, it is a great additive to your pup's diet or a snackable treat!

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, which prevent cell damage in your pup. They're packed with fiber and phytochemicals too!

*Disclaimer*: Your pet may have allergies or reactions to some of these ingredients and it's always advised against feeding your pet what isn't right for them. Always ask your vet if these treats are right for your pet!
